Now more than 40 years old this festival accepts entries on VHS, S-VHS, DVD
or VCD and no longer than 20 minutes.
Free choice of subject. Films should be not more than three years old. Languages:
Polish, German and English. No entry fee.
Pol-8 is one of the oldest festivals in the world. During the festival,
viewers have a chance to see around 60 works by amateur artists from around
the world. Films presented a review of a wide variety of images, viewers
can see animated movies, nature, pastiches, films for children and those
intended only for adults. POL-8 also has special screenings of professional
films with their makers taking part. The festival is accompanied by an open-air
concerts, film music, film workshops, meetings with professional creators,
discussions with critics.
The town itself is a popular tourist resort.
