British International Amateur Film Competition
United Kingdom
Closing date: 10th January 2011
Festival date: 8th-10 April 2011
Fees from £6-£18 any length, any theme
This is Britain's longest established film competition and festival. It is
organized by IAC, the British equivalent of AMPS. All entries are
pre-judged and the festival is a celebration showing of the best entries.
The festival moves to different UK towns each year. In 2011 it will be in
Harrogate, Yorkshire (North East England).
All entries receive written notes from the judges.
Prizes range from certificates to trophies and cash.
They accept entry registration and payment online which avoids problems and
expense in changing money. You still have to send cassette or dvd ! It us
safer to send dvd because Britain uses the PAL television system instead
of the NTSC one used in the USA and Canada. UK dvd players almost all handle
NTSC discs easily.
